Ghost Birds

Sunlight, reflections and the role of chance in life and art. This series has its origin in bird collisions with glass – nearly invisible, unintended casualties of the modern built environment. The faint marks left behind have a haunting beauty and confront us with the inter-relatedness of living things, the stark contrast between ideal geometry and organic forms. To amplify resonances in color and process, we printed these images as cyanotypes on Arches Platine archival paper.
